The bad guys are very poorly done throughout the whole game, which was disappointing coming from GTA:SA which has, IMO, the best done antagonist/bad guy of any videogame, ever. I've always thought the IV story was weak because it had poor direction with antagonists. But when someone says, "I'd love some gameplay footage" and your response is "We don't need an hour long video about aiming," that comes off as dismissive. Again - this may not have been your intent here. However, it can be a bit grating when you portray those wants as unimportant or unnecessary simply because you don't care about them. It's fine to not have the same wants as other people. Likewise, the fact that you're okay with the lack of footage is fine - honestly - but it doesn't change the fact that it'd still be nice if we had some more gameplay footage. I'm not pacing the floors worrying about it. It's not going to be the end of the world if we don't get footage before release. And frankly, I'm tired of Rockstar's sales numbers being used as armor in every thread about them. That's never been a point of contention here. My initial post prefaced the point I've bolded in your quote above - that, yes, this game will sell well regardless of what R* does or doesn't do. And whether the intent or not, some of your responses have minimized or utilized strawmen and exaggerations that I never brought up (1-2 year hype trains, 1 hour gameplay videos, etc). I'm getting combative because my point has been pretty straightforward: it'd be nice if Rockstar released more gameplay footage especially given our proximity to launch and given a couple of outstanding, but potentially important points. And frankly, I don't even think this would be a discussion if the trailer they did release actually showed off non-cinematic gameplay footage, but it didn't and was all of 0:59 seconds long.

And for those that don't care about this info, aren't curious about it, or don't need to know it? Well, they'd still be free to not watch this media even if Rockstar released it. If the game is coming out soon enough for preorders to be active, I don't think it's asking too much for them to present media that's not going to change or undergo further development within the next week and a half. The ambiguities surrounding the soundtrack could be addressed even without a video if they wanted to. They're just asking for more footage to be released about a game that's coming out within the next 10 days, which in turn would yield more clarity about some of these points that people are unsure about.
don't think anyone here is asking for that, especially given that these are remasters. Again, either intentionally or unintentionally I feel like you're defaulting to these extremes when you say, "Most video games don't have hour long videos explaining how their aiming systems work, and I think it's fine." Just as when you said these games don't need 1-2 years of hype.
